Seats — removal and installation
Warning: The models covered by this manual are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), more commonly known as airbags. Always disarm the airbag system before working in the vicinity of any airbag system component to avoid the possibility of accidental deployment of the airbag, which could cause personal injury (see Chassis electrical system). Do not use a memory saving device to preserve the PCM’s memory when working on or near airbag system components.
Front seat
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Engine electrical systems).
2. Remove the headrest.
3. Disconnect the side airbag module connector.
4. Position the seat to the fully forward position and remove the two rear seat Torn bolt caps and bolts (see illustration).

5. Position the seat to its fully backward position and remove the two front seat bolts (see illustration).

6. Tilt the seat back and disconnect any wiring attached to the seat. (see illustration).

7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures (see Engine electrical systems).
Second row seats
2013 and earlier models/2014 and later Rogue Select models
8. Lift corners of the rear seat cushion up to disengage the fasteners (see illustration).

9. Remove the seat bolt trim covers then remove the seat fasteners and seats (see illustrations).

10. Remove the seat cushions.
11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
2014 and later models (except Rogue Select models)
12. Remove the headrest.
13. Position the seat to the fully forward position and remove the trim covers and two rear seat bolts.
14. Position the seat to its fully backward position and remove the trim cover and two front seat bolts.
15. Remove the seat.
16. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reconnect the battery and perform the necessary re-learn procedures (see Engine electrical systems).
Third row seats — 2014 and later models (except Rogue Select models)
17. Using a trim removal tools remove the seat bolt trim covers from the front side of the seats.
18. Insert a screwdriver, or equivalent through each of the U-wires on the third-row seat legs.
Warning: Do not remove seat front bolts until the screwdrivers, or equivalent, have been inserted through both U-wires to prevent the gas struts from expanding rapidly, springing the seat frame open, which can cause severe personal injury.
19. Remove the seat, front bolts.
20. -Fold the seatback down to the flat position then pull on the release straps to disengage the seat locks from the strikers.
21. Open the liftgate and remove the seats through the rear of the vehicle.
22. Installation is the reverse of removal.
